Hi! I wanted to share my tag that i just created for the current
This week the challenge is to create a project (card, layout, altered item, etc.) using 3 or more surfaces! I decided to use a tag.
My first surface: The Tag
I inked my work pad with the Distress Inks-Dusty Concord, Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry. Misted them and drew my tag thru the colors. Next, I painted with a Gesso wash to tone down the colors. It was too pale! So then I used my Distress Paint dabbers and added back color!
I took some Gelato markers and colored around the edges of the tag.
The stamping on the tag is a variety of different stamps.
My second surface: Stenciled Fiber Paste
Using the MFT Blooming Rose stencil with Fiber Paste! I dried it with the heat gun.
Next I painted the rose and leaves with Gelatos and water. And shaded with a water brush and Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink.
And my third surface: Ribbon!!!
(Pardon my messy work surface!!!)
I took white seam binding and stamped it with a Tim Holtz ticket stamp and black Archival Ink.
Next I sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
After drying with my heat gun, I painted the seam binding with a pink Gelato and water.
I colored some more white seam binding with Fresh Lime Dylusions spray mist.
I you look real close, you can see where I strung some metal honey bees and crystals on some twine to give the tag a little more sparkle!
Hopefully this hasn't been too long winded!!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Mackie, I just wanted you to know I found the fiber paste by following your email directions. Now the people in the store know where and what it is. They would all just tell me … we don't have it! Huge Thanks!!!!
