The Card Concept Challenge #155 - Garden Pleasures

Hello my stampy friends!

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day!

Mine was extra special because I finally got to give REAL HUGS to my son and daughter-in-law!

And we even stayed together in the same house for the weekend!

Thank goodness for Vaccines!

We are starting a new challenge today at The Card Concept!

Here is our new fantastic inspiration board:

I was instantly inspired by the bee hive!

This cute stamp is from Simon Says Stamps. It is called BEE YOURSELF.

I stamped the bees with black Memento ink onto some alcohol friendly white card stock.  

I colored the bees with my Copic Markers.

The background is a 4 X 5 1/4 piece of Strathmore water color paper. I picked up some clean water with a round paint brush and painted an area to fit behind my honeycomb die cut. Then I dropped Brutus Monroe yellow and orange Hyper Pigments onto the watered area. Next I added lots of splatters.

I adhered the honeycomb die cut on top of the yellow area, after it had dried very well.

I added some purple hearts and some yellow Nuvo Drops around the die cut.

Next I added the bees with foam tape, as well as, the sentiment.

The sentiment was heat embossed with Versamark ink and white embossing powder.

 The style of my card would be considered
