Hello my stampy friends!
I hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
Im so thankful that our weather is starting to cool down, and that means 75 to 80 degrees instead of 90!!!! It wont get real cold here until December.
We have a NEW kind of challenge this time
at the CARD CONCEPT!
This challenge is our double challenge!
The second challenge of every month, we will post two challenge photos! You can choose whichever photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!
We hope this new option will be one that you enjoy as much as we do the Designers will let you know which one they decided as well.
I chose Harvest Bounty because I have been creating Autumn 5 X 5 Mini Books for a craft fair that I will be participating in November! I have never done this before! So I am a little terrified!
Im sure I have spent more than I will make! LOL!
But...I have really enjoyed the creating part so much!!!!
It has really sparked my creativity!
Here is the cover of my little book:
The cover would be considered Clean & Layered :
~Clean lines
~Lots of Layers
~Designer papers, embossing
~Embellishments/accents
~Clean & Fresh looking
~Some colored images
~White space
The 5 X 5 Mini Books are so much fun to make!
You only need 3 different pieces of pattern paper cut 12 X 6 inches.
Score each page at 5 1/2 " and again at 6 " on the 12 inch side.
Fold the scored lines mountain then valley.
Insert the 3 pieces of pattern paper into each other like a book.
On the left side, punch 3 holes with a hole puncher. Punch the holes in the bottom, middle and top of your book.
Take about 18 inches of ribbon and thread it thru the middle hole front to back, leaving a long enough tail of ribbon to tie a bow when you are finished. Then thread it thru the top hole and then thread it all the way to the bottom hole. Then back thru the middle hole and tie a knot. Then tie the remaining ribbon into a pretty bow! I hope this hasn't been too confusing!!!
I decorated the inside pages with places for photos and journaling, with ephemera and stamps from Maymay Made It.
I just love the way these Mini Books have turned out!
I hope you love the colors and the themes of these challenges as much as I have!
And I hope that I have inspired you to choose one and join our challenge!
